Understanding Alternate Passing Yards: Evaluating Quarterback Accuracy And Receiver Synergy

Alternate passing yards measure the distance gained by a quarterback when they throw the ball to a receiver and the receiver runs with it after catching it. It excludes yards gained by the quarterback on scrambles and is used to evaluate a quarterback’s ability to make accurate passes and find open receivers.
